£1,000 was raised at a netball tournament at Cwmbran Stadium held in memory of a player who passed away in May 2018 from a brain tumour.

Cath Roberts represented Celtic Dragons, Wales under 21s and more recently was the coach of Risca netball club.
Vicki Randall, from Cwmbran Netball Club, said: “Cath was a bubbly and inspiring individual and it was great to see so many friends and family come together yesterday (Saturday 1 September 2018) to raise £1,000 for The Brain Tumour Charity. A huge thanks to Torfaen Leisure Trust who allowed us to use the courts free of charge.”
…matched by the respect and admiration she was held in by her peers. She was an inspirational person who lived her life to the full and did everything with a smile. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time. 2/2
