There were tears, smiles and laughter at Cwmbran Celtic FC today as the club honoured ‘club legend’ Terry ‘Tucker’ Cunningham.

The former club president passed away in May after a short illness. He dedicated over 70 years of his life to the club and completed the hat-trick of playing, managing and supporting the team. Terry’s loyalty as the longest-serving member and volunteer was highlighted today at the club’s home ground at the Avondale Motorpark Arena.

Sue, Terry’s wife, unveiled a plaque to officially rename the small pitch-side stand, ‘Tucker’s Terrace’. She was joined by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Another special guest at today’s event was the family’s new puppy, Tucker, who enjoyed the attention from the children.
