Cwmbran dad of autistic boy is running London Marathon for National Autistic Society

The dad of a two-year-old boy who is autistic is running the London Marathon to raise money for the National Autistic Society.

Sam Brown is a regular at Cwmbran Parkrun but this is his first 26.2 mile race. He chose the charity after his son, Dexter, was given an autism diagnosis. A few weeks ago he completed a half-marathon as part of his training.

The family live in Croesyceiliog.

Gemma Coombes, his fiancée said: “Myself and the whole family are going to London to watch and we’ll be booking to stay overnight to support Sam. His sister is also running to support him. She lives in Poole but is originally from Newport.

“This is Sam’s first ever entry for a marathon and he got accepted by the National Autistic Society straight away once he explained his link to the cause.”

Sponsor Sam in the London Marathon

He has set up this JustGiving page where it’s easy to make a donation and show your support for him and the National Autistic Society.
