There is still time to stand as a candidate for election in the local government elections in Torfaen that are taking place in May.
The elections will be held on Thursday 5 May. Residents will elect 40 county borough councillors and 78 community and town councillors.
It’s been five years since the last Local Government elections, and the number of people eligible to vote in Wales has increased to include 16 and 17-year-olds and qualifying foreign nationals
