Residents in Monnow Court in Thornhill organised their own Santa’s Grotto for local children.
Resident Angela Cauchi told Cwmbran Life that for years children have got together in December and rehearsed to perform a concert in a gazebo set up in the street. But this year she wanted to turn it around and get the adults to entertain the children.
Yesterday evening a gazebo was set up in someone’s garden and Santa and an Elf greeted children to find out what they wanted for Christmas. Each child left with an arts and craft pack provided by Torfaen Play.
A group of adults dressed up in a variety of costumes and led children on a walk around the court. The Grinch caused some chaos by knocking on doors and surprising residents.
